Haryana Congress Chief's verbal attack on PM Modi

BJP demands action after Haryana Congress Chief's verbal attack on PM Modi

Amidst the controversy surrounding BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri's verbal attack on BSP MP Danish Ali in the Lok Sabha, the BJP has questioned whether Haryana Congress Chief Udai Bhan's recent remarks show "muhabbat ki dukan" (a shop of love). This development comes in the wake of growing tensions between political parties over the use of derogatory language in India's parliament.

BJP's response to controversy

After the uproar caused by Ramesh Bidhuri's confrontation with Danish Ali, the BJP has pointed to a video featuring Haryana Congress Chief Udai Bhan using derogatory language against Prime Minister Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. BJP leaders are now demanding Udai Bhan's removal from the Congress party, similar to the Congress's call for action against Bidhuri.

Udai Bhan's defense

Udai Bhan defended his statement, claiming that he did not mention any specific names and questioned what was wrong with his remarks. He denied using abusive language and stated that he only spoke the truth. He also challenged the BJP to take legal action if he had said anything inappropriate, emphasizing that he had made similar statements in numerous rallies before.

Rahul Gandhi's involvement

Rahul Gandhi met with Danish Ali following the incident involving Ramesh Bidhuri. Danish Ali had expressed his willingness to resign from Parliament if Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla did not take action against Bidhuri for his derogatory comments. Rahul Gandhi remarked, "Nafrat ki bazaar mein muhabbat ki dukan" (a shop of love in a marketplace of hate) after meeting Danish.
